Johnny Cupcakes is sweeeet!

We took a trip to Boston this weekend and discovered something on Newbury Street that I wish I’d know about a long time ago. We found a store called Johnny Cupcakes, so we went inside because Abby had a sweet tooth. Our tummies were sorry, but we were pleased as punch to see what was really for sale. Johnny Cupcakes gear! Mostly T-shirts, but also some bags, wallets, buttons, poster prints, etc.
It was set up like a little bakery complete with bakery counter, giant mixer, and refrigerators for the shirts that need to stay cool. We ended up buying a T-shirt for each of us. They even put our shirts in little cupcake boxes to take away.
Check out the blog, check out the gear, check out the T-shirts. Just check out Johnny Cupcakes! Great art, great gear, great idear ;)
And a delicious logo to boot!
Here are two of the shirts we bought:
Pay them a visit, and tell them I sent you!

Spoon with a bat ghost thingy

If anybody is a graphic artist, I found a link to a blog called Spoon Graphics. They made a tutorial to show you how to make a really cool bat ghost thingy. It’s really simple, but extraordinary. It’s a great image. I’m sure we’ll see it tagged all over the place soon. Not pictured above because I have not asked for permission.
Trust me. It’s really cute. Check it out.

Tic tac boo

Ho-hum. It seems these things are still making the rounds on the internet. It seems ancient to me, but apparently some peops still enjoy this kind of web prank.
Clicky here.
Then send it to your friends if you want them to put you on their SPAM list.

Rest in peace, couch potato

I hope some day I have enough money to buy one of these. I found this site called Coffin Couches where they converted coffins into couches. It’s not much more than that. Simple, and cute. I want one!

Altogether ooky

Ooooooh, guess what! Somebody alerted me to a real treat on the web. Click here to visit a site that is offering streaming video of Addams Family episodes. Classic TV really makes me happy, and The Addams Family is one of the best shows from the past.
If you ever get a chance, make sure you check out some of Charles Addams’ cartoon panels the show was based on. A great place to start is The World of Charles Addams.

Fifi knows better than Victoria

Here’s a fabulastic source I found that sells alternative fashion clothing. It’s call Fifi’s Secret. I definitely have to tell DeMonica about this.
Based in the U.K., Fifi designs and sells one-of-a-kind outfits you can commission. Her portfolio has all sorts of retro dresses, tops, skirts and prints that are punky and cool. She also makes delicious looking jewelry and bags. Definitely a step ahead of trendy, so unless you are ahead of the curve you can skip this one. Her designs are for the über-cool. I wonder if she’d design something for a zombie skelly girl like me.

Sidewalk surfing skellies

I found a really cool blog that is dedicated to girls’ skateboarding. I wish I had the guts to try that ;)
If you like skateboarding you should take a look at this link to Cool Girl Decks. They reported on one of my favorite things: Skelanimals. They have skateboards now! These have to be the most adorable little skelly pets you’ll ever see! Once you’ve been emblazoned on a skateboard you’ve hit the big time. I’d love to see my pretty face on one some day. Maybe one of the other girlmonsters.

Zombies are your friends

I found a networking site just for zombies! it’s called zombiefriends.com. I haven't signed up yet, but I think I will. Let me know if you join. I’ll post about again when I sign up, but I’d love to hear if anyone else likes it. Have you met any cute zombies?

Fendi ng for herself

Delfina Delettrez Fendi comes from a long line of world famous jewelers, but she’s shining bright with her own style. She creates one of a kind pieces using iconic images such as scorpions, frogs, skulls, and more. Her unusual taste makes her line stand out among fine jewelry designs.
She had a baby recently, and has cut down on the use of skulls, but I’m not sure I understand why. Doesn’t every baby need a skull?
Clicky this linky to read about it, and see her wonderful jewelry.

Tee hee. I’d rather be a zombie

Look at what I found out today ;) Surprise, surprise — I‘m not a vampire. Well, duh. Click the link at the end to see if you are! Here are my results:

You Could Be a Vampire... If You Had To

Like most people, the thought of being a vampire has crossed your mind. But you're not sure if you'd do it, even if you could.

Living forever doesn't sound half bad, if you could live forever with the people you love the most.

But do vampires even love? And would the vampire version of you even be you?

It's all too much to contemplate. Luckily, the chances of you ever becoming a vampire are astronomically low.

What you would like best about being a vampire: Living forever

What you would like least about being a vampire: Blood stained teeth

Hard to swallow

Circus Peanuts skull courtesy of Skull-A-Day

How many clicks does it take to get to the center of a candy controversy? I found this list of the worst sweets ever on retroCRUSH. It’s a fun list, and most are true, but I was gobsmacked to see Swedish Fish and Circus Peanuts on the list! Those are two of my favorite treats!
